He was not an artist in the familiar sense of creating works of fine art, but he shows great skill with both casual sketching and finished drawings. This collection of work is from Tissandier's visits to North America in the late 1800's. Mainly of landscapes, the drawings and etchings show an understanding and love for the natural beauty of the regions he visited. |
