We are pausing most of our self-guide programs through 2017 while we remodel our Marcia and John Price Museum Building and reinstall our permanent galleries. You and your family or friends can still explore art in the environment with our Spiral Jetty backpack, available to check out for FREE at the Children's desk of the Salt Lake City Public Library downtown.
The Utah Museum of Fine Arts welcomes group visitors of all ages to explore its galleries and permanent collection by means of a self guided tour. Tour group size is limited to sixty people. Self guided tours must be booked at least one week in advance, four to twelve weeks in advance is recommended as we generally receive more requests for tours than we are able to accommodate. Groups without an advanced reservation will not be allowed access into the Museum. Group rates are $3.00 per person. Tours are free for charter, public, and parochial school groups with an advanced reservation. Fee waivers may be available to groups demonstrating need. To schedule a visit, please click on PLAN-A-TOUR or call 801.581.3580.
If you would like to use one of the written Self Guides the UMFA has to offer, you can check them out at the Visitor Services Desk or download them from the links on your right. Art that is on exhibition is subject to change, and some guides might have information about art that is not currently on display. For questions, please contact the Education Department or 801.581.3580.
We also have Podcasts and Audio stops that you can dowload before your visit for a deeper understanding of the UMFA collections and exhibitions.
