UMFA RESOURCES FOR TEACHERS
Bring the wonderful world of art to your classroom and inspire your creativity, as well as students’ imaginations! The UMFA strives to expose teachers and students to the richness and breadth of the UMFA’s collection and teach teachers how to use art in all areas of their curriculum. Teacher Workshops consist of a variety of activities including open houses, Evening for Educators, workshops and other learning opportunities. The Museum offers a comprehensive range of supplemental teacher resources that will deepen your connection to the wonderful world of art on view in our galleries. To enrich the classroom experience the Museum brings works of arts to classrooms at no cost through the Museum in the Classroom and the Traveling Museum Project. To inspire your creativity we offer a variety of resources online, including original Lesson Plans inspired by art in our galleries, our education e-newsletter On the Wall, and access to our Collection Database to learn more about what the Museum owns. Educators have the opportunity to enjoy the benefits of being a member at a reduced cost through our Education Memberships.
To learn more about our multi-faceted outreach program check out our K-12 School Programs and to find out what we offer to visiting groups please review Group Visits. We hope you join us today and dive into a world of art and adventure!
