
UMFA Resources for U of U Students:
Students' Museum Advisory Council - an ASUU club - Students work directly with UMFA staff to help plan events at the Museum for U of U students.
Internships - Offered 2 - 3 semesters each year. For-credit options are available. Applications are due approx 2- 3 months prior to the start of the semester.
Membership - Student $15 (valid student ID required)
Benefits include: Unlimited free general admission to the UMFA's permanent collection and temporary exhibitions, free single-entry admission to ticketed exhibitions, invitations to private previews and other members-only events, 10% discount on purchases in The Museum Store and Café, and a free subscription to UMFA quarterly newsletter.
Podcasts and Audio Stops - Pocasts are available for many UMFA lectures. Audio stops for special exhibitions and the UMFA's permanent collection can be downloaded prior to your visit.

Tours - Guided, self-guided and sketching tours can be arranged by calling 801.581.3580 or clicking HERE
Teacher Resource Center - Objects, posters and videos can be loaned to educators for approximately two weeks. See the TRC list HERE or call 801.581.8336 to make an appointment.
Collection Database - The entire permanent collection is at your fingertips 24/7 on the UMFA website: www.collections.umfa.utah.edu. In addition to browsing the collection you can login and create your own slideshows of objects for personal research or the classroom, prepare for tours by browsing objects tagged "on exhibition," or encourage your students to find the gems of the collection not on view.
Digital Images - The Museum can provide digital images of any objects in the UMFA collection for educational purposes within the bounds of fair use. Images can be obtained by contacting the Collections Staff at 801.585.0125, or by submitting a request HERE.
Private Event Rental - We offer a reduced rate for U of U departments. Call 801.581.5643 for more information.
