Come celebrate the opening of For the Future: Collecting at the UMFA 2001-2026. This stunning exhibition celebrates the 25th anniversary of the Marcia and John Price Museum Building by showcasing some of the Utah Museum of Fine Art’s most notable art acquisitions of the past 25 years.

For the Future explores not only the variety of important art acquisitions the UMFA has made, but also the varied stories of opportunity and generosity that have made such an extraordinary expansion of the collection possible. With support of many generous donors and community partners, the UMFA has been able to expand its arts programs across the state of Utah, launch exhibitions that engage with the most pressing issues of our time, and deepen the collection—all while ensuring the highest standard of care for the artworks and for the people who love them. As we look towards the next 25 years, For the Future offers a moment to celebrate the UMFA and dream about what’s next.

Parking & Arrival Information

Complimentary parking will be available for all guests attending the gala.
Event parking will be clearly marked with “UMFA Event Parking” signage, and attendants will be on site to assist. All parking locations are within easy walking distance of the UMFA.

100% ID Policy

To comply with a new law taking effect on January 1, 2026, the UMFA is required to check the ID of every guest partaking of alcohol, regardless of age appearance. If you would like to take advantage of the open bar at this event, please be prepared to present a valid ID at the welcome desk to receive a wristband that will allow you to access the bar.
