Third Saturday for families:

Visit Red Butte Garden and the UMFA for an arboreal adventure!

Looking for a free family activity in Salt Lake City? Look no further than the Utah Museum of Fine Arts! Admission to the Museum is free every third Saturday of the month, and there is always an art-making activity for the whole family! This month, the Utah Museum of Fine Arts and Red Butte Garden and Arboretum have teamed up to connect art and trees!

Visit the Utah Museum of Fine Arts for a free art making activity and to explore the galleries! In the classroom, create your own treescape artwork and explore the different shapes, sizes, and colors of trees on view in the Museum!

Throughout the month of June, Red Butte Garden visitors can take part in a Treescapes Tour through their digital guide, and find seventeen Garden trees featured in artwork at the UMFA. Find a variety of trees in artworks throughout the Utah Museum of Fine Arts. Then see the real trees at Red Butte Garden and Arboretum. Ask yourself, did the artist depict the tree realistically, or is it more fanciful? Have fun finding and identifying trees in the Museum and the Garden!

Please note that regular admissions fees apply at Red Butte Garden and Arboretum.
