Get inspired by the beauty of nature and yarn paintings from the Utah Museum of Fine Arts education collection!
The UMFA is dedicated to bringing events and art activities to community spaces throughout Utah. Join artist and UMFA education curator Virginia Catherall at the Marmalade Branch of The City Library to explore yarn painting.
Yarn painting originates from the Wixárika culture of Mexico. These pictures made of colorful yarn offer an amazing opportunity to explore your creativity and create your own landscape picture.
Please note that this event is meant for families with youth and children only. Adults are welcome at all other UMFA workshops. Check out Third Saturday for Families or a Drop-in Drawing Disco event this fall!
