This unique UMFA workshop invites intergenerational groups of up to 3 participants to create artworks celebrating elders in society.
Projects will include creating a crown, a storytelling workshop, building a diorama, and a collage based on the work of salt 16 artist Arleene Correa Valencia. Participant groups must include one person 55+ and up to two people of a younger generation who are interested in working together. Participants do not need to be related. Please note younger participants must be of school age and able to work in a classroom and museum setting.
Participants are limited to one eight-session UMFA 55+ workshop offered from January through June 2025.
