Take the pressure off your artistic practice by focusing on creating and experimenting, rather than obsessing on the end result! Students (and everyone, really) can get their artistic practices snagged by the ideas of good vs. bad and perfectionism. Art is an explorative process, and we’ll use special exhibitions Blue Grass, Green Skies: American Realism and Impressionism from the Los Angeles County Museum of Art and Photo-Secession: Painterly Masterworks of Turn-of-the-Century Photography to better understand our own. Join us as we practice artful moments and discover what happens when you seek non-perfection in the classroom.
