Looking for a free family activity in Salt Lake City? Look no further than the Utah Museum of Fine Arts! Admission to the Museum is free every third Saturday of the month, and there is always an art-making activity for the whole family. This Third Saturday we will explore the Global Contemporary gallery and create our own hard-edge paintings.

Minimalist painters of the 20th century used lots of different tools to make their hard-edge paintings including masking tape. Explore the UMFA collection of hard-edge paintings, then try your hand at painting on canvas and make your own Minimalist masterpiece. Experiment with unexpected tools, embrace simplicity, and become an artist in the classroom at the UMFA!
