A four panel Japanese screen with two running horses painted on it.

Saturday, July 20 | 1-4 pm | Free

Japanese American artist Chiura Obata was a highly skilled painter of landscapes and nature. See his work on a magnificent folding screen in the Museum’s American and regional gallery. Folding screens in Japan divide large open spaces within a home or building. At this Third Saturday, find inspiration in Obata’s screen to make a miniature version of your own.

Check out all of our upcoming Third Saturday for Families.
