The UMFA is teaming up with Utah Humanities and the Smithsonian Institution’s Museum on Main Street to teach about The Way We Worked, the new traveling exhibition in Utah. UMFA educators will host a free family day at Silver Reef Museum to teach about the work of plein air artists—artists who paint landscapes outside rather than in their studios. (En plein air means "in the open air" in French.) Watch plein air artists at work and then try your own hand at watercolor painting getting inspiration from the landscape outside.
