Modern and Contemporary Art Curatorial Intern
The UMFA seeks an exceptional undergraduate or graduate student to participate in and contribute to the museum's modern and contemporary curatorial initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Gather comprehensive artist research
- Provide support for exhibition development and ongoing curatorial projects
- Department administrative duties
- Research the permanent collection
- Write gallery labels, organize files and libraries
- Prepare correspondence, presentations, and checklists
Qualifications
- Detail-oriented and self-motivated
- Interest in modern and contemporary art and artists
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Competence in general research and office duties
- Writing samples are required for all applicants

Expected Learning Outcomes
