In partnership with Pasifika First Fridays Festival, the UMFA is hosting a celebration in honor of Utah Pacific Islander Heritage Month by showcasing the rich and diverse contributions the local Pacific Islander community offers Utah's art community. The celebration will feature Pacific Islander spoken word artists, contemporary dance, a musical performance by Josh "WaWa" White, and art making. Community members and attendees are encouraged to visit the UMFA's Arts of the Pacific gallery during the afternoon celebration.
