Construction at the UMFA

2025 marks a year of change for the UMFA as we transform and reimagine our gallery spaces to better serve the works in our collection, and you, our visitors! Our current European galleries will shift, creating a brand-new space showcasing the arts of Mexico and Central and South America, as well as a new portrait gallery on the second floor. On the first floor, you’ll find an updated North American Art gallery as well as a new installation in the Great Hall! The Museum will remain open during this process, and we hope you enjoy this opportunity to witness our incredible collections team hard at work. Your continued support makes all this new and exciting work possible—Thank you!
