A senior woman behind a sculpture

Woven Gestures is a movement and visual art making workshop being held at the Utah Museum of Fine Arts every Saturday for adults 55 and better starting Saturday, January 14, 2023 from 10:30 am-12:30 pm and ending March 4, 2023. This series of eight consecutive weekly workshops will be led by Juan Carlos Claudio, former Ririe-Woodbury Dance Company dancer, former University of Utah Assistant Professor, and Instructor of Dance at Weber State University; he will be assisted by former Ririe-Woodbury Dance Company dancer Tara McArthur. Participants will also paint silk scarves with textile artist Diane Casper Allen and create a sculptural project with artist/educator Alise Anderson. The workshop series will culminate in a celebration incorporating movement and visual art.
